FAQs
Do you offer pregnancy chiropractic care, and what makes it different?

Yes. Pregnancy care is gentle and built around comfort, positioning, and safety. We assess pelvic mechanics, low back and hip motion, rib mobility, and the tension patterns that build up as your center of mass changes.

Can chiropractic help with pregnancy related pelvic pain, SI joint pain, or sciatica?

Often, yes. We look for mechanical drivers such as pelvic imbalance, restricted hip motion, irritated SI joints, and muscle guarding that can load the low back and nerves. Care focuses on reducing the stress patterns that keep the area flared up, improving how the pelvis and hips move with walking and sitting, and supporting more comfortable sleep positions. If symptoms suggest something outside a mechanical pattern, we coordinate appropriate referral.

Do you provide pediatric chiropractic care, and is it gentle for kids?

Yes. Pediatric chiropractic is very gentle and age appropriate, with low force techniques that match a child’s size and development. Visits focus on movement quality, posture, coordination patterns, and areas of tension that may be limiting comfort or function. We explain findings in parent friendly language and keep care conservative, with reassessment to confirm the child is responding well.

What is SOT chiropractic, and why do you use it in your approach?

SOT, or Sacro Occipital Technique, is a structured assessment method that evaluates how pelvic mechanics, spinal motion, and nervous system stress patterns interact. It helps us identify where stability is breaking down and where motion is being compensated, which is common with low back issues, pregnancy related pelvic strain, and postural stress. When indicated, SOT based care is typically low force and specific, aiming to reduce strain and improve stability without overloading sensitive joints.

What is upper cervical chiropractic, and who is it best for?

Upper cervical chiropractic focuses on the top of the neck where head and neck mechanics can strongly influence posture, balance, and symptom patterns. It is typically precise and low force. We consider it when exam findings point to upper neck involvement in headaches, persistent neck tension, dizziness type sensations, or TMJ related strain.

Can you help with TMJ pain, jaw clicking, and headaches at the same time?

Yes, when the driver is mechanical. We assess the TMJ, the muscles of the jaw and neck, upper cervical motion, posture, and clenching or grinding patterns that load the joint. Care may include gentle upper cervical work, targeted soft tissue treatment, and movement guidance to reduce jaw strain and improve opening and closing mechanics. If red flags or dental specific causes are suspected, we coordinate referral so you are not stuck treating the wrong problem.
